As per 2026 -government provided- kite SOPs and regulations, a 'Gudda' must not exceed 40 inches in width and 34 inches in length. Any kite (gudda) above 1.5 tawa could land you in legal trouble.

Why are gudda prices so high?
It’s a mix of Seller Greed and Supply Chain Issues. Because only a few districts and suppliers are authorized to manufacture, the supply can't keep up with the "Basant Storm" demand in Lahore. This has allowed a handful of big dealers to control the market.
Always check for the mandatory QR Code sticker. If a shopkeeper is charging a premium "Mafia Price" but the kite has no QR code, it is illegal stock—don't risk your money or your safety!
